The morning report
Sep. 5th, 2004 08:52 amMom's Phone: Ringing...
Mom: Good morning!
Me: Good morning! How -
Mom: Did you tell me that they were going to keep me here 2-3 weeks???!!!
Me: Yes. They are going to keep you until they are sure you can get along on your own and that's probably going to be a couple to three weeks.
Mom: Well, I'm going to have to do some talking to them, then. They just need to unhook this oxygen and I'm ready.
Ok... Unhooking oxygen could lead to some breathing issues but I've known my Mom and for more than 55 years and know well when it's time to shut up and say 'ok, Mom.'
She is sounding better every day. Soon we will be fighting the battle of Who Goes And Stays With Her When She Does Go Back. My sister promised her she would, but as we all know, she's way too busy to do it. I would really rather not give up the $$$ it would cost me work wise and I'm just the world's worse nurse and I'm already going in November. But, my poor sister in law always gets stuck and I'm not going to stick her this time.
So... It's a bridge will cross later.
Today is cleaning day here. The laundry is laundrying and the bathroom has been cleaned already. Next is the kitchen and then the vacume and then the shower and then I'm taking the rest of the day and tomorrow off.
I do need to get my quarterly tax check written and into the envelope ready to mail. But, otherwise, it's going to be knitting, Netflix and TV - with the next Mariner loss tossed in about noon today.
