Not walking

susandennisI'm waiting for Lee. She and Sherry were gone for the weekend - supposed to be back last night. I fed their kitties and left a note for Lee begging her to walk with me today. I said I'd wait for whenever she was ready. So I'm waiting. I'm going to stop waiting about 8:45ish and get into the shower and maybe get some breakfast. It's a little too warm yet for serious walking. I think next weekend will be the good time to start anyway.
Mom sounded very good today. It's very hard on a holiday weekend. She wants to grill someone about the 2-3 week thing I told her. She wants someone there on the staff to tell her that she'll be there at least 2 to 3 weeks more. I think she's just trying to plan for her own self. Fair enough. She's tethered to a giant oxygen tank now. She said this morning she wants them to go ahead and give her one of those little ones so she can get out. She wants to meet her friend, Libba, in the café for dinner one night this week.
Yep, we are making progress. I'm still not sure how she's going to do stuff like get groceries (milk and bread - she doesn't need much but she does need some) but I am pretty sure that somehow it will get figured out and she'll get back to her apartment. I've stopped thinking about myself as a soon to be orphan - at least not yet.
Frances wiped out my brother's electricity but he's got an RV and they've been hole up in that with the generator going and doing fine. I get updates from his Treo.
Not a peep from my sister since early last week. She's been getting the updates on Mom from me and from Bill but not a word from her. Guess we're off the radar again. It would be a little handy to know if we're going to stay off for another couple of years like last time or if she was going to pop in randomly to fuck things up. But, I guess it really doesn't matter.
The very big news is that today starts the new Jeopardy season and Ken is back!! Online Time had a pretty funny piece about him and TIVO tells me that he's going to be on The Ellen Show next Monday... I've missed him.
Buzznet - where my phone pictures live - has been down for about a day now. Hope they are ok.
