Not Much

There isn't much to report today - at least not so far.

I'm enjoying a bit of prosperity. Ameritrade says that it got the money from my credit union and it's allowing me to buy stocks with it. But, the credit union hasn't yet changed my account balances to reflect the money it sent to Ameritrade. So right now, I'm flush with cash... It's all very virtual.

But, I did get a kick out of Ameritrade's reaction to my new purchases. I've not made a single stock trade in more than 3 years. So I haven't even logged on to the account. I finally did last week to set up the electronic funds transfer. I got in there and discovered that my account was showing a deficit of $24.64. I'm guessing it's been like that for more than 3 years. I wondered why Ameritrade hasn't come after me for it - I still do.

But, this afternoon, after the funds got there, and the balance is now showing that I have cash to spend, I get an email telling me that my account has a deficit.

Timing.

Mom is the same. She's doing better every day heathwise. But, I'm really getting weary of the same phone conversation every morning. Every morning she tells me she's going back to her apartment probably at the end of the week. I know this is likely not so and when it doesn't happen it won't bother her any.

On the down side, it's a daily reminder that the Mom I used to know is gone.

On the up side, it's a daily reminder that my current geographic choices has been so fortuitous.

I mean, really, that's it. That's today's contribution so far.
