The golden touch
Sep. 15th, 2004 02:31 pmWith the money that Ameritrade didn't get from my credit union [see last entry], I bought 7 different stocks. I already had stock in 3 other companies - so we're talking 10 altogether.
When I was done buying, I had some money left over and wanted to buy more Krispy Kreme since it is now so cheap and I know it's coming back. I made straight purchases for everything else.
But, for the Krispy Kreme, I instructed them to wait until the price got down to $11.44 a share and then buy.
Today, every single one of the other 9 stocks lost money. Most lost $.45 a share or less. But every single one was a loser.
So, of course, you know that Krispy Kreme gained $.48 a share - the first day of gain in forever - traded out at $12.08 a share.
Possibly the Ameritrade/credit union problems are god's way of telling me that the stock market is not my kind of playground?????
