Stocks and Mom
Sep. 17th, 2004 08:14 amI'm thinking both these recently daily topics will be replaced soon by ... Who knows? I think they are both winding down as issues...
Ameritrade now (and once again) reflects the money from the credit union. The credit union still does not show a debit so the whole thing could still be fucked up but it also could be fixed. Stay tuned. I know you will.
Mom. We chatted this morning, she and I. Turns out that there is likely some miscommunications (go on with your bad self!)... Mom thinks (and I agree) that the social worker oversteped her bounds by telling Nancy to hop on a plane. Mom pointed out that the doctor has not yet released her and that could get hung up. No one has ever heard from Nancy and Mom does not want her to come. She wants to try getting along in her apartment on her own. She's going to try to get her on the phone this morning.
Need we revisit the definition of festuche?
But Mom did sound chipper and in charge and like a woman with a plan. And that was good to hear. Before we hung up she said "Will you keep your cellphone on today in case I need you to knock some heads around?" You betcha! I'm the Geriatric Enforcer - I wish I was smart enough to make logos.
And... speaking of festuche... Every since I made that entry a year an a half ago, it's always been the easiest one of mine to find. Just go to Google and type in festuche and wham, Bob's your uncle. This morning I did it and got a little surprise! The first hit was not mine. It was linked to mine for a word quiz in the April issue of Northern Massachusetts Regional Library System newletter! I'm famous!!
