What is so friggin interesting about Jennifer Aniston settling a law suit over someone taking pictures of her boobs? I have read about this and heard about this continually now for two days. We've got a war going on, we've got planes crashing, we have people doing good deeds and Summer activities to report on and this stupid story keeps floating to the top.

Are her boobs something special? What clue am I missing here?

Actually the problem is that I'm probably not missing enough. I think I may have too many news sources. I started out in life as a newspaper reporter so maybe there's something DNA-ish there.

I read a regular paper newspaper every morning. I have a headline news thing that pops onto my computer screen at work with hot news. I usually watch the 5 p.m. news (unless there is a ballgame) and the 10 p.m. news on TV. Oh and a I get a couple of online newspapers that I kind of read.

I don't really feel like I'm generally on top of the news except if anyone has any questions about the Jennifer Aniston Boob Photog case, just let me know - I'm all over that one.

I wonder if the photos made it to the internet. If they did, no amount of law suits will ever remove them.

I haven't read a thing about the boobs.

But my take is, news is just what a small number of people think it is. I have very little use for it. So I rarely read newspapers. Which is saying something for a reading addict like me. You can occasionally find me reading opinions or special sections or looong articles that actually have some content in them, if I find a section in Starbucks or somewhere else.

so golly, I just plain missed the boobs. I don't know how I get through life sometimes.

Always ready to answer a searching challenge... yes they did. But I'm not sure posting the link is wise. So much fuss about something you can't even get your hands on :)

I remember that the TV networks gave us wall-to-wall coverage after John-John Kennedy's plane went down a couple of years ago. Why, except that he was a member of America's Royal Family? Celebrity sells. Heck, the paper I work for made a big deal after a retired Seattle SuperSonic (not one of the superstars, either) was hauled up recently on domestic abuse charges. We don't cover the reg'lar wife beaters until they're arrested for killing the wife. And don't get me started on local television news. All fluff and pretty-boy and pretty-girl anchors, and that's for the real news.
