susandennisThis has been quite the day here... Just one thing after another and a couple of meetings on top of that. Nothing bad - it's all good - but it's just whizzed right by me.
No definitive word on when we are moving our offices but we did get move boxes, tape and the official move instructions which include the room number of my new office. The latest thinking is that we would move a week from today and so not work on Friday. I'm not so happy about giving up 8 hours worth of $$ and if I have to, I'd really rather do it on another day since I'll be gone that next week. But, what. Ever.
I just found out that Karen, my officemate, kinda semi knows Fark of http://www.fark.com/! She and her husband share a house with a guy who used to work with him and he was in town last night. I was far more impressed than she figured I would be. I used to see him on The Screensavers when it used to be on TechTV...
I didn't get any lunch today. You can't really see it from where you are, but it does not appear from looking at me that I have ever ever missed a meal and that's because I rarely do. But, I did today and now I'm starving!!! However, due to the aforementioned reserves, it's probably not a fatal condition at this point.
The BellSouth website reports that Daddy's new DSL modem is on the truck and on it's way to Mom's. I did remember to tell her today that it is addressed to Daddy. I woke up in the middle of the night with visions of her fighting with the UPS guy 'but it can't be for him, he's dead! Take it back. I didn't order it.'
