ahhhh Friday

susandennisWork was a bit of a mess today. The office move continues to amuse. The latest is that they are moving us in two shifts. They give you a deadline for being out of your old office and the earliest time you can get into your new office. Half of our group has to be out by Tuesday at 5 and won't get back in until Friday morning. The other half has to be out Thursday at 5 and gets back Monday morning. I'm in the first group and Karen, my office mate, is in the second one. It's really nuts.
I really don't want to give up two days pay and there is a fair amount of stuff that really needs to be done and I'll be gone all of the following week. So the move person says she can set up my computer in a conference room for Wednesday and Thursday. Fine by me. Jes gimme my computer, hook me up to the network and get out of my way.
I got a CD in the mail today!!!! One of my regular blog reads is BoredButNotBusy Debbie. Out of the clear blue, after the elections, she sent an email saying that if I sent her my snail mail address, she'd send me a CD to help me get through the trauma. And she did! Tomorrow morning's walk is going to be New Tunes Trot. I'm quite excited.
And remember the record/cassette to CD project I was whining about the other day? Well, once I found out the dets and the complications and the costs, I took a serious look at my albums and cassettes and really evaluated what was what. Turns out there really are only 5 albums that I want converted. And 3 of them are already on CD! Who knew anyone but me every listened to Dory Previn??
The other two albums (Cryer & Ford) are not on CD for sure and still need to be converted. I found an outfit in Canada who looks to do a reasonably priced job so I'm waiting to hear back from them.
Jake is already on the couch waiting for me.
