I did find out that my brother's son did NOT, I repeat NOT wreck Mom's car. He wreck's his dad's (my bro's) car. I'm still a little hosed on what in the hell he's driving that will cost $2,800 to repair and why he (or son) does not have car insurance. And I still stand by my threat that no one had better let me know if Mom is paying one penny toward repatriation.

Mom's IP just changed 3 more times in the last 10 minutes (the utility that tells DYNDNS what her IP address is, also sends me an email when it changes).

Today is our 2 p.m. Department meeting. Shortly after we moved into this group, the manager sent out a strange note explaining why she did not want contractors to attend. Fine by me. Department meetings are right up there with hangnails in my book.

Anyway, a few weeks later she sent another note this time suggesting that contractors should not attend if they had other things to do. Again, I'm reading this as my hall pass.

That was followed up by an open invitation to attend. This time I went to my manager and said 'you know, if you want me there, tell me. Otherwise, I'm going to ignore all these notes about these meetings.' He said fine.

Cut to last week. This time the reference to attendance included a notation that it was mandatory for everyone to attend. Ugh. And it means I don't make my bus and have to take the next one.

But, still, I'm mellow.
