Movie Review

I just finished Bend it Like Beckham and enjoyed it very much. Although I have to admit I did turn on the subtitles. My DVD player is a bitch to back up just so I can hear it again and the accents were just too hard to get the first time round. But it was fun. And there was an interesting feature on the DVD about the making of the movie. I don't usually watch the extra stuff but I did this and it was as interesting as the movie. Netflix has a DVD of another movie by the same director. So, of course, it is now on my list.

I'm on a kick of eating out of my pantry. I've got cans of shit that I've had forever and they are just taking up space. So eat it or ditch it. My new motto. So tonight I'm having what my brother would call Mustgo. He makes Mustgo Soup all the time. Heat up some stock and then toss in everything from the fridge or pantry that must go.

But my casserole will need some sour cream on top so now I MustGo across the way to the market. It's not raining just now but probably will when I get about half way there. I might have to pick up one or two of those yummy Portuguese tarts as well...

Bend it Like Beckham was fun, wasnt it? My only complaint was that I'd have liked to see (some more of) David Beckham in it. In polls in England, he is regularly rated the world's hottest man.....

I've seen him a couple of times on Parkinson and honestly, I don't quite get it. But, then, I do have this HughGrant fetish and they are a bit of opposites.
