Let the games begin!!

Fasten your seat belts. This is going to be a fun ride. Sheri is great. She's smart and sharp and direct and fun and my condo is in the best hands possible. I just know it. She had done an enormous amount of homework - including reading this journal! Hi, Sheri!

She asked great questions. And she's a great listener. Nothing I threw at her seemed impossible. Plus she totally 'got' that no matter how much upheaval goes on, I need to have minimal interruption of both the tv and the computer. Laying carpet and painting is going to mean move a bunch of stuff out of the way. It's going to be messy for a while but as long as I have my tv and my computer, I can handle it.

She's coming back tomorrow to measure and take pictures. And then she'll come back with a plan. Yahoo!!!!

Oh and, guess what?! She was on Designers Challenge! And she was the designer selected! Her episode hasn't aired yet. But isn't that wild. I had decided that I was glad I got rejected. I really wanted my house redone, not to be on TV. She confirmed that my thinking was right. It's a good thing I got turned down.

I do need to get serious about throwing out some of this shit. I think this weekend is going to be a good time to get a serious start. I plan to fill up the car on Saturday and take it to Goodwill and then repeat on Sunday. I can do it. I know I can.

Today I sent an email to my neighbors down the hall - they own the condo here in Seattle but live in San Diego. They don't have a lot of stuff in their unit and if they will rent it to me for a couple of weeks, I can use it to store boxes of stuff.

My neighbors downstairs, Sherry and Lee, are going to Las Vegas and called to have me look after their cats - I traded it for the possible use of their car. Sherry's parking space is just across from mine. If my battery is dead again, I can at least use her car to jump. I'm off to Keiran and Alan's for dinner tomorrow and then there will be the Goodwill trips this weekend.

Things are coming together. This is so exciting. I cannot wait.
