Bits and bobs

I was watching something on TV last night - BBC America - and someone said 'she'll just have to tidy up all those bits and bobs.' I used to know a couple who's names were - Bit (for Bitsy - from baby nickname indicating size) and Bob. I hadn't thought of them in years. Wonder what every happened to them?

Today is hair dye day. Should be pretty darned exciting. I'd be half tempted to go with something way fun like blue or pink but Mom and her friends have just enough eyesight left to make that a little dicey. I am careful to stick to pinks and reds in nail polish when I'm there. Charleston, SC is not quite comfortable with peacock colors in hair and nails just yet - at least not on 55 year olds. So we're going with Clairol 608 Light Brown... Yawn.

I hit the phone blog wall yesterday! I took a picture of the leaves outside my terrace - I figure this will be the last weekend for them and sent it as usual to the phone picture website and nothing. nada. Did it again. nothing. Finally I checked my email and found a little note that I had exceeded my daily limit of 10 photos a day. Sigh.

The website sent out a note last month saying they were going to start offering paid accounts with bigger limits but nothing yet. I do need another internet charge. This little online obsession is getting pretty pricey. Next time I pick a habit, I think I'm going with something cheaper like crack cocaine.

It is blustery out. Rainy and windy. Should be fun for the Seahawks game. The question might come up - why didn't we get a roof on this fabulous new stadium??? But, maybe not. The weather does not seem to have curtailed any of the parking lot partying. Tents are flapping.

Because unlike, say, baseball, football is supposed to be played in dreadful weather. Consider that they've played for decades in Green Bay, Wisconsin, without the benefit of a roof.

blue is a completely acceptable hair color around here on grandmas...maybe they wouldn't notice the peacockishness of the blue :)

I've noticed that it just seems like the teams that are located in the more inclimate climates always have an outdoor stadium...Green Bay, Denver, New York Giants, Seattle, etc. Not sure I really understand this unless somehow it's to their advantage because they're used to the weather. Fun to watch though...especially when it snows!

LOL, How about smoking?? I could easily go back. (Hope I don't, though)

I think crack is more expensive, but I honestly don't know. But, you know, I don't think I'd make a good smoker any more. I'd like a puff or two now and again, but I really don't miss it. Now, try to take away my technology and you'll be in a heap o' hurt!
