Don't they have people to do this???

I finally got that damn cart put together. And then the loading....
Top picture is the first load down to the car. It's one whole bookshelf - I saved 1.5 shelves of stuff out of 6. I'm proud. The next load (below) is more books, and knickknacks and a bunch of stuff from storage on the terrace and some other stuff.
Part of the complication is that I can roll the shit down the hall and into the elevator and down to the 1st floor. But it is not a straight shot out the door - out the front, there is lot of uneven (tiled) floor and a couple of major bumps and then the curb out in front. Out the back you have to roll all around to the end of the garage where there are no steps. My car is parked one level below - too steep to roll this stuff down. So I have to go get the car, drive it up to the street and park it. Then go get the cart and roll it over to the car, load it up, put the car back, come back up here, get the next load and do it all again.
But, I got it done and off to the Goodwill I went. The main Seattle Goodwill is very near here and pretty handy. And it's nice to piece the work out this way. Now I've done my quota for today and I'm going to take the rest of the day off.
I'm beat up. Tomorrow... the bedroom closets, I think. At least the stuff won't be so heavy.
