Next Tuesday is going to be a big day on the loading dock of susandennis.com.

The Woot tracking number FINALLLY showed up in FedEx. Order date 2/3, shipped date 2/17. Estimated arrival date 2/22.

The printer that I ordered instead (actually turning out to save $30 AND use the same ink jet cartridges I currently have on hand...) is schedule to arrive on ... 2/22.

I have been scouting for a USB wireless thingie to make my Tivo talk to my network and finally found one for under my $25 pricepoint and it's arriving - when? Can you guess? Yep... 2/22.

I ordered some new sock yarn and it's been shipped but no tracking number. I'd get a giggle if it arrived next Tuesday.

I am finally beginning to get some of my taste/smell back. Bread no longer tastes disgusting. I had a peanut butter and mayo sandwich last night on Wonderbread and it was pretty tasty. And sharpies smell different (not much like bread any more). I did a little research - not much but a little and discovered that we taste with our nose more than our tongue kind of. I've always known they were closely connected but apparently they are pretty nearly laminated.

I've never had a good smeller. Almost always when someone says 'can you smell that?' I have to say 'what?'. I think I killed it with 40 years of smoking. But this latest taste situation tells me that maybe my smeller caught some kind of long lasting debilitating bug and just went on the fritz for a while. So far it does not seem fatal. It does seems to be healing. And, I have been able to sustain my fat ass on the memory of taste alone for a while so all is fine, really.

It has been forever since I did one of my Saturday/Sunday picture walks. My Saturdays and Sundays have been consumed with getting ready for redecorating. I think I'm going to try my dead level best to get feet on sidewalk tomorrow morning. If for no other reason than to just make sure I can still do it! Plus I need to see what's new around the 'hood.

And... (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] katbyte, for the reminder) I totally forgot to report on my gay date last night! I was a good muffin. Before the play, I took Kieran into the bar of our most elegant hotel in town. He'd never been there and was suitably impressed. It is a plush place. Then it was on to the show. The show itself was kind of lame. I like my musicals to be, well, stories with song and dance. This was more song and dance that someone made up a story to go with. And the female lead was trés annoying. BUT, Alan was fab. He was in both acts and even had a couple of lines. He's very tall and moves with such elegance. You could find him easily in all of the ensemble dance numbers and we were way in the back.

It was a very good time. We ran into friends of Kieran's and friends of Alan's. It's always so funny to be the invisible chick when gay guys bond. No one is ever rude or even not nice and Kieran tries hard to remember to include me but I could be a lamp (from a boring store).

I let them all go do their stage door thing without me. Kieran was going to the opening night cast party so it was a good time to just take my little self home. Caught a cab just outside the theater on the first try (which ain't always so easy in Seattle) and I was home in a jif. Good evening.
