Heads down but with rewards

susandennisI am in the middle of a project at work that has me locating all 1,400 pages of a website and copying the URLs into a spreadsheet where I will in the next column create it's new URL for the new website. It is truly mind numbing and shoulder killing. I am about half done. There is one piece of software that is saving my ass. It's part of Karen's Power Tools.
I found this treasure chest of toys and tools several years ago. I think the first one I every used was the Replicator. I used it to make backup copies of websites every night. I've used a bunch of other ones over the years.
Today's savior is Directory Printer. These 1400 pages are in 91 different directories. Using this nifty little tool, I can get a list of every file with its directory and slap a front end on it to make the entire URL and then copy that list right into my spreadsheet. It has so far saved me hours and hours and hours of work, but, more importantly, it has saved my sanity.
I don't know Karen - I bought her CD several years ago but I think I should send her more money today!
The printer from Woot did not get delivered. FedEx website says the driver tried twice. This is the one for which there is a huge sign telling the driver that I refuse delivery on that tracking number. It would be nice to believe that he saw the sign and is just 'faking' the delivery 3 times before he sends it back. BUT, this is the FedEx (express) guy who can't ever get a delivery right so who knows.
The replacement printer - FedEx Ground, was delivered this morning! And the USB wireless thingie (UPS) was, too!!
The yarn - ordered after all of the above - send via USPS - got there Saturday.
So... I have treats to look forward to after my trip to the CPA this afternoon.
