I just typed an entry via the LJ web page and just before I hit enter it
magically disappeared... So this is try 2 this time via email.

I'm in charlotte (rocking chair proof at susandennis.buzznet.com). We
landed at 6:30. It's now 8. My plane to charleston leaves at 10:45.

but my treo is keeping me entertained. I'm caught up on mail and LJ friend
entries and checked the weather. I left possible snow for a predicted high
of 80 this weekend.

thanks!! i'd love the weather you are offering but I think we'll have sun and hot. it is strnge to be in this time zone. the sun has been up for more than 2 hours and the stock market isn't even open yet.

I'll get the snow photos up tonight or tomorrow. It's back to cool and rainy here in Portland. We're supposed to have a couple of below-freezing lows, but they're counterbalanced by highs above 40, and the best we have listed is 'mixed snow and rain'.

Of course, they didn't think it would even come near to snowing the day that it did, so who knows. But hopefully if it is going to snow, it will make sure that it also does so once you are back and have everything you need so that you can enjoy it without worrying about needing X or Y. :)

I'm sorry your Thanksgiving weather isn't working out. I'll be in Manchester NH so I hope there will be some snow, or at least a hard frost. Ah. I just checked and the forecast lows are in the 30s and highs in the 40s. Anyway, happy Thanksgiving.

You are the one to ask. My hubby wants to get me TiVo for Christmas. I looked into it and I see that you have to have it near a phone jack. Correct? I don't have a jack near the TV so I guess I have to have one put in. I do have cable internet but that isn't near the tv either. Do you think having to have a new jack put in is worth it? I have 2 VCRs and 2 DVD players now.

TiVo needs a telephone line to operate. Whether it is near a jack or not is personal preference. I have a long telephone cord that basically runs around my living room from the TiVo to the jack. So it just depends on your setup as to whether you want a new jack.
