Where oh where??

susandennisI have been pretty lucky finding stuff in my packed up boxes. I threw out so much and was not as anal as I should be in the box packing... I mean if a box had space in it, I just wandered into the next room and got stuff. And, of course, no box is marked. But, until tonight, it hasn't been too inconvenient.
Remember the letter to the IRS that I had to write as a result of their 'examination' of my 2003 return? It turned out to be a fat packet of documentation to show what turned out to be mostly investment losses. And I cannot find my copy. I remember taking the original to the post office and I know I got home with it. I remember it was on the desk for a long time but it has not turned up with the other tax stuff or the stuff from 2004 taxes, or the other stuff from the desk. if I had to, I could likely recreate all of it, but it bothers me that I can't find my copy. I don't really need it, I'd just feel better if I knew where it was.
I looked for it to see what the original said about the chain of events. I had to submit the letter by the 15th of March and then I think it said that if I owed taxes, I'd get a bill in about 6 weeks but I can't remember for sure. It just bugs me.
