My keyboard is disgusting. And it was new out of the box only a year ago. I am a pig. At home, my keyboard is black. It is probably way more disgusting but what I don't know won't hurt me. This thing is just gross.

The aching in my arm/elbow comes and goes. After spending all day with it bent over this keyboard and mouse, it hurts to straighten it out. But as long as I keep it bent, I'm ok. I just put another ice pack on it. The ice packs are those things that come in a box and are just ordinary until you squeeze and pop them and then they turn cold. Problem is, when your right hand is connected to the problem, it's hard to get a strong enough grip to pop it. But I managed and it sure does make it feel better.

The server where my publishing tools are is being moved tonight and tomorrow and so will not be available at all tomorrow which essentially means I shall spend the day picking my nose, I guess. That should be boring interesting.

I watched some more PBS pledge drive stuff last night. There was a music thing - like the one I saw from the 60's - of the 50's. And, as [livejournal.com profile] estis pointed out - the people from the 50's are in far better shape than their younger counterparts. Those 60's were rough. The old film from the songs of the 50's is just kind of amazing. I remember it but I still can't even believe that Pat Boone sat on the steps surrounded by airheaded women in harmony and we thought it was entertaining.

I also watched a documentary on Annie Lamott. It was not new - best I can figure it was done about 5 years ago. I first happened upon her just after her son was born and that was in 1990-91. The documentary was done when he looks to be about 8 or 10. Still, it was interesting. She has always fascinated me and I've never really known why. I do not even like her fiction. Weird.

And, speaking of weird, I am listening to another book on CD. This one is one by Robert B. Parker. I am not a Parker fan and I do not know what possessed me to get this book from the library. It is a silly piece of junk - I think it's supposed to be a mystery but I'm 1/3rd into it and there's no mystery yet. I don't really like the characters much and the story is flawed and I'm totally 100% hooked. I'm was cutting and pasting and cutting and pasting a while ago and trying to remember where I left off this morning so I can better anticipate what's going to happen in the book on the way home this afternoon. That may be the actual mystery!

Now I need to get back to work. I have about an hour to get as much done before the shut the server down as I can.
