Easter Shut Down
Mar. 27th, 2005 01:45 pmI do not remember Easter being a big deal in Seattle - big enough to close stores. But, apparently, either the Republicans have taken over more than I realized or I was wrong . I decided to make a quick trip to Sears. It's about a mile down the road so I hopped into the car and soon pulled into an empty parking lot. Clue #1.
I got out the car and met a woman coming from the door who told me she was as surprised as I was and she had just been downtown to discover everything closed there, too.
Hmmmm I wondered if Target was closed. They never close. But, the closest Target isn't that close. So I fired up Treo and invoked Google's SMS and entered Target Store.west seattle wa and the message came back immediately with the phone number and address. I clicked on the phone number and the recording told me that I was wrong again. Target is closed for Easter. I was glad I hadn't made the trip and proud that I remembered this handy Google function. Life without Google would just be substandard. I'm just saying.
