Tivo luck continues
Apr. 10th, 2005 03:19 pmMom calls.
"My Tivo is broken."
We go through the usual suspects. Her Tivo made the last successful call to the mother ship was this afternoon. She can see the shows she has recorded. When she changes the channels on the TV itself (goes away from channel 3) she gets snow and lines... ah ha!
"Why don't you put down the phone and go sneak in your neighbor's door and see if he has a picture..."
There is a guy (do I need to say old guy?) two doors down who lives in his giant recliner (I mean really... he doesn't have a bed - he just reclines it more) in front of the TV that is always on. And he always leaves his door open.
Pretty soon she comes back. "All he has is snow."
Cable out. Whew. Not my problem.
