You should see my ceiling!
Apr. 11th, 2005 05:02 pmWow.
Dinah (the painter) and her helper, Sunshine (yep, this is Seattle), really did a great job. The entire ceiling is done. Dinah says that's the worst part. It is so clean and bright and clean. It was so filthy and splotched. It is wonderful.
They were nice and nice about the cats. Plus, the cats really pulled one over on them.
Apparently, they let the cats in from the terrace while they were prepping and covering stuff in plastic. Then they put them outside. Then they decided they really needed a window open and the only window is the sliding glass door - which has no screen. That was just before I got home, they said. Anyway, they opened up the door and put the cats in the bathroom. No food, no water, no litter.
Then after I was home, they decided to go ahead and get the ceiling done in the bathroom, too. They opened the door and discovered that the no litter was not such a good idea. Somebody had pooped in the bathroom. A big poop. A very smelly poop. And they had to smell it while they painted.
I'm thinking they won't make that mistake again.
All is fine. The cats are fine. The ceiling is beautiful. I have cleared a spot on the bed to sleep on. I think I can find clothes to wear tomorrow. I have spot cleared on the couch and the TV un sheathed. I need to find my knitting needles and everything will be excellent.
OH and the Mariners beat the bejesus out of Kansas City this afternoon. I hate to look a win in the mouth but it was the KC opener. Seems like the Mariners could have won one this past weekend instead... I'm just saying.
