The late night me

susandennisI got home at midnight last night. Alan is a night person - which is good since as a singer/dancer/actor, most of his work is at night - so dinner at their house is generally 9ish. Kieran, left to his own devices, is a morning person like me but he loves Alan to bits and accommodates beautifully. Plus he is kind enough to invite me on Friday which is the one night that staying up late - although a struggle for me - isn't that hard. It's just so different. I did lounge in bed a while this morning but not that long.
My bedroom is a mess so I got up and got started. Stuff that will not go into the closets, goes out into the halls. Stuff that will go into the closets will be lined up along the walls waiting for Wednesday or Thursday. I am still throwing stuff out. Once the bedroom is done and the front room, I'll start on the living room. The goals are to be able to find shit, to be able to move shit easily for the carpet installation and to be able to move through my house without barking my shins or tripping over shit. Loft goals, doncha think?
Between the packing, painting, moving and not giving a shit, there is so much junk on the carpet, I could use a rake probably to get most of it. I had figured I would never need to vacuum this carpet again but I think I'm going to give it a once over today.
And that's the thrilling action going on around here today...
