Three things you might not know...
May. 15th, 2005 09:22 amAnd one you might actually find handy...
- Elmers glue does not keep forever. I need some for a small job and I have now found the third jar (not really a jar, more little soft plastic bottle) that has non-dried but not at all still useful.
- I have enough extension cords to probably stretch from here to
melodysk's living room (where, of course, standards will make it totally useless)... A couple of week's ago, I organized the shelves that hold stuff like that and put them all together. At that time, I learned that I have enough - of every color, length, 3 pronged, etc. My latest cleanup/organization has about doubled the stashed. So, if you need an extension cord, come on by! - Denture tablets are just magic. Years ago I read a tip that they were a great way to clean a thermos and I bought a box. And they are, indeed, a fabulous way to clean thermoses. Since then I always keep a box under the kitchen sink. Yesterday I found two vases that were just mucky inside. A denture tab in each with some hot water and this morning they SPARKLE! Plus, they are minty fresh.
I did clean the bathroom floor. I did not do a perfect job since there is probably a little more work to be done there. And when we are finished - just before the big Come See parties... - I'm going to find a professional to come clean every nook and cranny. But, I got the major bits swept up and sucked into the hand vac.
I did the same for the kitchen floor.
I took a huge load of trash to the dumpster and some empty plastic crates down to the storage area. I am feeling very good about the shape this place is in.
The laundry is laundrying.
A good part of today could be spent like this:
