The eyes don't have it
May. 18th, 2005 01:19 pmWhile I was wallowing in the glow of Rodney returning to TV in the fall, I totally missed the cancellation of Eyes. Now this was an excellent show that had great potential. It was snappy and fun and interesting. However, Republicans are in office.
The last episode that aired had one character asking the other character out on a date. Both characters were very hunky and very cute and semi spies - one FBI and one ex FBI and both male. The asking was adorably tentative and probably the only time straight people have every really gotten to see how the whole 'are you gay?' thing works when the hoped for answer is YES!! It was one of the most romantic things I'd ever seen.
And, sadly, as delighted as I was to see it on ABC, I knew it was the end right there. And, I was right. They have, apparently, already done a bunch more episodes. I sure hope they get on the air.
