But, really, you know, when I stepped in the door to my condo this afternoon, I had my own little Calgon moment. Ahhhhhh.
The wonderful people who handle the Trust that Daddy left for Mom to live on work at an arm of the bank where she has her checking account. They really don't have much to do with one another. When I was swapping emails this morning with the Trust officer about paying Mom's sitters, I mentioned that I was trying to get the online banking set up for Mom's checking account so I could use it to pay for stuff that needed to be paid for.
I was nearly reduced to tears again in appreciation for the kindness when I got an email late this afternoon from her assistant telling me that he had taken the liberty of talking to the branch person in charge of online banking to get Mom's account all set up and also to make sure they waved any charges for using the service. Wow.
So now I'm home and I suspect that all Mom trauma is done for the day so it's just me and the TV - a little Jeopardy, maybe The Shield... and the latest Teddy. The Mariners are off tonight.
