When I left work last week, I allowed as how I might take Monday off. This morning I thought, nah, I'll go on in. But, tonight, it's nah, I can use another day. I checked work email and there's nothing that looks like it can't wait so it will.

I finally came up with a plan to conveniently list the books I have on the shelf yet to read - as well as how they came to be there (recommendation from friend, reviews, etc.) - in a simple database with the list of the books I have read. Then I created a really simple ASP web page that Treo is very happy with. Hopefully this will prevent the buying of books I have already read and/or have on my toberead shelf. Hopefully. Today I designed the system. I already had all of the books I've read since 1995 listed so tomorrow I'll add the ones on the shelf.

I got the nicest note from my brother tonight. He had asked about Mom and I had shared a little of my frustrations. His response was thoughtful and kind and sympathetic and appreciative. And gratefully received. I'm lucky to have his help on the case - of Mom. He and his wife will go up there in a few weeks to check on her. They are so much better with her than I am.

I'm about to get caught up on the important TiVo stuff. Whew.

TiVo has a handy delete button, too. I use it liberally. You need to get over that TV guilt thing. What other stuff is more important that you need time for? Silly?!
