I turned on the air conditioner this morning and am once again so very grateful. I won't need it on long - just until the sun moves over the terrace. But, for now... I turn it on and the room goes from hot to comfortable in fewer than 10 minutes. thankyoujesus.
I paid $700 for it in 1999. At the time I debated. It seemed like sooo much money. It is now old and loud and has no remote control and is bigger and uglier than the new models but I love it anyway. And I especially love it right this minute.
A couple of years ago, it quit on me. I can't remember the details but I do remember calling the company and the guy told me it was too old and it would be way cheaper to replace than repair. I don't remember why but shortly after the phone call, I gave it another shot and discovered that it had healed itself and has been cooling me whenever I need it ever since.
I plan on staying inside and cool. Laundry. I need to clean my Crocs - the red ones and the purple ones are looking kind of shabby. The Mariner game is at 1. Just a nice quiet Sunday here at case de susandennis.
