In and out but not burger

susandennisCostco opens at 9:30. By 9:45, I was back in my car, purchases under $65 and only one frivolous item (a whole bunch of madelines - I think I'm going to freeze about half of them). I do believe it is a personal best.
A whole lotta more people have caught on to my Be There When The Doors Open trick. The customer side of the parking lot must have had 100 cars in it already. And the front door was jammed waiting for it to open. But the new store is so huge that once in there, all the people were gone - at least as far as I could see. There was one couple with a queen size matterss and box springs on a car finishing up their shopping in the food section - bed and broccoli... I was dying to the rest of their list. Costco cracks me up.
But, I do love that the aisles are big enough to roll a queen size bed down them. You were lucky to get the smaller carts through the old store.
On the way, I heard a siren coming up behind me. Lights flashing.... it looked kind of like a very large ambulance. But it was white, not red. It was clearly Seattle Fire Department but on the side of the thing were the words Technical Rescue.
