The Flip Side of This Morning

susandennisSo... I noticed with the Crocs that Federal Express has a new thing when you go to check a tracking number... you can sign up to have them email you the progress of that item without - and this is the really unusual part - having to create an account and register your freakin' DNA!!
I signed up for 'send me updates' and I just got an email saying my Crocs were delivered today!! Yahoo! New shoes for the baseball game! I think I may do chocolate or maybe lime or maybe coral... or maybe one coral and one lime...
Last week - the cafeteria here had General Tso's chicken which was pretty darned good. Today they had skirt steak burritos which turned out to be excellent. So I had to send an email. I went to the internal web page for the dining service and found a feedback form and sent them a note that I loved both of these new items and hope there would be more.
I suspected at the time that they might not get too many 'great job' emails.
Now, I know it.
The manager of our cafeteria was just here at my desk to thank me for thanking them! And he had a pad and paper and he asked me if I had any suggestions... cheeseburgers already made up and waiting for me, reuben sandwiches (which they do well) already made up and waiting for me, a smaller version of their breakfast burrito... he was writing fast. Nice guy. That was fun.
