Aug. 3rd, 2005 08:32 amThe University of Washington has a cable channel that generally airs programming selected to make even the worst commercial channel appear interesting. It's generally class lectures. You can go in and tell TiVo to just ignore any channel you want and many times when TiVo has recorded such titillating shows as The Economic Impact of 1930s Manufacturing, or Vital Organs and Bacterial Interface, I think 'hmmm, I should really de-select channel 29' but I'm lazy and I never got around to it.
Lazy pays. Last night I discovered that TiVo had recorded a lecture by the CEO of Google and it was really very interesting. So, Thanks, TiVo!
