I just read an article about yet another crop of astonished young people (25 ish) who got fired after they blogged about their jobs. Actually, my personal theory is that they got fired for being stupid and oblivious. And who would want to actually pay anyone who is stupid and oblivious? In 2002 - which wasn't all that long ago, kiddies but way long ago for you folks who claim to be on top of everything to have sucked up the info - Heather Armstrong got fired for her blog (www.dooce.com) and made such a todo out of it that it came to be known as being Dooced.

She showed very poor judgment then and should have known better. But, she did her best to warn you. That you are replicating her error now some 3 years latter and are shocked and pissed and so very full of entitlement only reinforces my thoughts about your reasoning powers.

Of course, I'm equally unimpressed by the legends of journalists who persist in telling this same boring story every time they find yet another stupid and oblivious victim.

In other news...

It is hot and the Blue Angels are in town. The latter means that streets and bridges will be blocked and rerouted and the noon hour will be filled with excruciating noise. Packaged with the former, my door will remain shut and my air conditioner on high both for the noise it makes and the cool.

My activities today will all be inside and done a very slow speed.
