This is the way it should always work in SusanDennisLand...
My old cordless phone sucked from day 1. You couldn't hear anyone on the phone and its answering machine was a bear to operate plus you couldn't hear messages. I never use it so its suckage didn't bother me too much. BUT, I got 2 messages last week - one from my friend, John, about his MRI, that I could not hear.
Off to Techforless to see what they had. I bought a $100 Panasonic cordless phone/answering machine with speaker phone, and headphone jack (plus a bunch of other shit I'll never use) for $32.58 with shipping. When I ordered it, I was told it had no fancy box and no manual but all the necessary bits and pieces. And so it did. It took about 3 mins to get the PDF of the manual off the website and set the outgoing message and the time and date and I am in like flinn. It's a fine phone that I can hear with volume buttons on both the phone and the answering machine.
Not book to find a folder for and then lose . I just popped the PDF into my House Hold Manual folder on my external harddrive.
Also Techforless does not make you register. They stand behind everything they sell. (They are the ones who were so gracious about my sending back those two printers.)
This is the way stuff should always work.
