Bits and Bites

I finally got around to watching the first Nip/Tuck episode of the new season.  It's just hard to believe how powerful that show is.  There are scenes and ideas from season one that still burn in my brain in a way that little else ever has.  This episode was no different.  It is just powerful TV.

I am so enjoying the cool weather.  Yes, I'd like to have some snow but if this is all I get, I'm not at all unhappy.  It helps for me to keep an eye on the weather at Mom's in Charleston.  Yuck. 

I'm going to send a note to Sheri today to start the list for phase 2.  Kitchen and blinds and lighting above the bed in the fish room.  I can't see starting much before about next May but she might as well start thinking about it.

I need to add more puzzles today and update my knitting page info.  I need to kind of retire the knitting thing since it's now all bears all the time.  Well, not retire, but just make sure it's clear there won't be updates soon.  These days, I probably get more email from the knitting stuff than most of the rest of the website.  I'm glad to help if I can.

There may be some more ALF watching today. 

Is our whatever-marginally-observed-holiday-that-closes-federal-offices always on the same day as the Canadian Thanksgiving?  Do you Canadians have turkey for Thanksgiving?  How is it that I'm 57 years old and don't know these things?
