I drove in today because I need to go meet my new employer this afternoon after work. It was dark and rainy and I missed a turn and it took me forever. I love my bus. It never misses a turn.

Mom is getting all ready for her move. Polly told her to gather up everything she needs for a night. It sounds like some of her stuff may be moved today. She's all cool with it and not getting stressed which is great. I asked her where she was going to sleep tonight and she said 'where ever my night gown is!'.

She went to visit her friend, Libba, last night. Libba does not have long left. Mom says gangrene is taking over her feet (diabetes and heart problems and arthritis and lordknowswhatallelse is causing this) and she's on lots of morphine. She says she looks very different but is comfortable and even enjoying getting flowers and having visitors and getting all the attention. Mom says she's happier than she's seen her in years. And joking about the end. She told Mom that she ordered a new sweater yesterday and she hopes it comes in time but if not, it will look nice on Jenny. Her daughter. Nice way to die. Really, knowing the end is near, being comfortable, being constantly reminded that people care about you and having a laugh while you get ready to go. That is the good way.
