I'm still in the middle of this amazing novel that centers around a major U.S. airlines which is going down hill in terms of customer service.

It reminded me to make my airline reservations to go see Mom at Thanksgiving. She very generously offered me frequent flyer miles so I had to call instead of buying online like I usually do. I had to talk to two people, two different times at US Air and, honestly, they both just knocked themselves out to make me a happy customer and, heck, it's free to me so I was already happy. But, I did get the flights I wanted. I have to stay a couple of days longer than I like but Mom likes a full week of me and it is her nickel so what the heck. At least, hopefully, by November, it won't be broiling in South Carolina.

My manager just came buy to remind me that the Mariners game starts early today so I'd better get home now to be there for the first pitch. How can you gripe about a manager like that????

South Carolina for Thanksgiving, eh? You must take pics for us! Do they deep fry the turkey? I've been wanting to try that.

My Mom has an apartment in this fancy schmancy retirement place. They have a lovely dining room that generally serves gourmet meals but one meal they can't quite get a handle on is Thanksgiving. We decided after last year that we are going someplace else this year. Mom's doing the research - scoping out luxury dining.

My trips to Mom's are fun but she generally has a long list. Change light bulbs, fix computer, fix fax, get the stuff off the top shelf in the kitchen/closet/other closet, get whatever that rolled behind the whatever, meet with financial people and make financial decisions, etc. etc. etc. This time she has also thrown in buy new couch.

In the past, I have taken a bunch of photos of her friends and the staff there for my web site. It's a huge crowd pleaser. It's been a while since I've done that so I should do it again and will.
