In general, I totally disapprove of any World Series that does not go 7 games. (This rule does not apply when the Yankees are involved since mostly I just blow off those World Seres.) But, I was ok with Chicago winning last night. Frankly I got enough of it all on Tuesday so I was ready to be done. February. Spring training will start and the slate will be clean again. I can wait. And my TiVos need some attention anyway.

Two more days. Today and tomorrow. The last few days of any job are always strange and usually not so comfortable. This is no different. When you first tell them you are leaving they are all desperate to keep you. How long can you possibly stay???? Towards then end it's way more 'Are you still here? Oh well.

I've been trying to find a toothpaste that I can stand the taste of. (Don't try and parse that sentence.) I like the Superman gel. I don't like the Colgate with Listerine bits. The Colgate sensitivity stuff has a strange aftertaste and I hate the gigundo tube. Yesterday, I picked up Crest Sensitive - Original Formula. It totally passes the taste test and it's in a nice, smallish tube that is both silver and stands on its end which means it will flow better and it doesn't have to look like it was abused as it gets used up. I got it at Walgreens and this afternoon, on the way home, I'm going to stop and get more. Since I have now found it and love it, I'm fairly sure they will stop production tomorrow.

His brother and sister are going to go to John's condo today - if they can convince the coroner to let them in. How creepy must that be? At least they have both been there before. John was not one to invite people into his living space. And he only moved there last year. But they were both there to visit in May so at least there will be some familiarity. I do hope they can find all they need and get everything wrapped up with a minimum of hassle. John was pretty meticulous so, hopefully, at least there will be order and not chaos.

The stock market is killing me these days. My brilliant investments are looking a little What-Were-You-Thinking. Thankgod I bought those shares in Google or my stock world would be in worst shape that it already is.
