The Adobe style guide is really a very good one but reading 70 pages of writing rules in the afternoon is a bit of a snoozer.  I didn't finish but tomorrow's on the way.

I am not a Halloween person which is good cause we have no Halloweening in this building.  We had a kid who lived here but they moved last year.  We have a baby or two now but that's it.  I do have candy and I am eating it.

My lunch from the deli was great AND and (the style guide says never use All Caps for emphasis, always use italics - I'm practicing) there was plenty enough for dinner and it was just as excellent.  $6 for two meals that I didn't have to cook?  Works for me.

Mom is really getting bummed about her friend Libba dying.  Libba's not dead yet but she can no longer talk to Mom on the phone and her apartment is a fairly severe walk from Mom's.  She won't last much longer and I think Mom's just missing her already.  Mom's the last one left of the little group of women that bonded together after Daddy died. 

And speaking of deaths, the woman who keeps wanting to know where to donate in memory of my friend, John, struck again today.  This time she emailed Tina directly asking if John's family has decided yet.  Call me Cathy Cliche but what part of 'we'll let you know as soon as we do' is so hard for her?  It was rude of John to die and do this to her, doncha think?  On the up side, when she sends these notes, Tina and I swap some hilariously snarky notes about her.  It's amusing.
