How Dry I am

Well, actually, it's more like how dry I will be.  They are turning off the water here any minute for most of the day.  Workers working on something.  I ran the dishwasher last night.  I showered this morning and washed my hair.  I have bottles of drinking water in the fridge and several more bottles and pitchers of water at the ready. 

I'm fairly sure I won't need most of it, if any, but there's nothing like having none that makes you feel like you need it.  I'm grateful every day for two toilets but especially grateful today.

Jake is here again, on the job - trying to prevent happy computing.  Some mornings he sleeps on the bed until noon and some mornings he's hard at work here in front of my monitor.  Yesterday, he took a side job - in front of my laptop. He finally fell asleep... apparently Alf is not his cup o' tea.  Could it be Alf's constant reference to cats as dinner meat??

I did end up working a fair number of hours yesterday.  Which was good.  So far, not so much on the hit parade today.  I have one bit that I need to do but can't until after 9.

Other exciting things on the agenda are:

- add latest book to the website
- take a load of trash to the dumpster
- deliver the latest teddy bears
- decide what is for lunch
