Same old, same old

susandennisMom making me nuts, Jake making me nuts, no snow, pile o' work to keep me busy...
For the past couple of days, Mom has been bugging me about money. Hers. She's got muscle issues and so gets a massage 3 times a week. At $40 a pop and she's all in a twit about how she can't afford that. Plus her room rate went up, of course, when she moved into her new apartment. So, now, every time we get the monthly statement, we have to discuss every item.
Because she and Daddy paid a special one-time premium when they first moved in, her monthly bill is reduced for life. For two rooms, 24/7 assisted care, in room laundry, daily tidying, weekly cleaning, all meals, plus the massages AND a truckload of extras, she pays under $5K per month. Her two long term care policies plus her social security pay just over $5K per month. And she has a trust that Daddy set up and her own investments. But, does all this help avoid the monthly conversation we have EVERY month?!!! no.

kyrielle!! As I started this entry, Jake hopped on the desk and then tried to get on my lap and generally began his day of tormenting me. Yesterday, kyrielle suggested that I get a stool or somewhere just for him. So, I interupted this entry and cleared a spot on the desk and found a towel and put it there and figured I'd plop him there as soon as he started again.
HOWEVER, before I could do that, he hopped up to investigate the new area and plopped down and has been there since! Fucking Brilliant!
Roomba last night found and brought to me both the antenna that fell off my cellphone on Monday and the back of my AIDS ribbon pin that I lost yesterday. Roomba's so nice to do these extras.
Work is piling up nicely. I have a new project starting next week. I have one going full tilt now and one that will probably kick in again here pretty soon. Plus the new one will enable me to show off my production skills which will just net me more stuff which means more hours which is just excellent.
I cannot believe that Jake is so content in his new Jake Place. Just amazing.kyrielle, I totally owe you.
