Work is still not as busy as I would like but it's picking up a little.  One fun thing is a dinner invitation.  In December we worked heads down to create an internal website for one group.  It was a fairly massive project that involved my company - me and my boss - and another vendor as well.  The client is taking us out to dinner on Wednesday to celebrate the launch.  I'm astounded.  Think about it - they paid top dollar for us to do this for them and now they are thanking us with a dinner?!  Very cool if you ask me.  Plus there were 2 guys (at the other vendor's) I talked to every day for six weeks and never laid eyes on - it will be fun to see what they look like.

My day started this morning with an interview with an interview for a story in the Wall Street Journal.  The reporter read my review of the toaster/egg thing on Amazon and sent me an email asking if he could interview me.  I couldn't think of why not.  So I said ok and sent him my phone number - he called right away.  He listened well.  I liked the thing originally but I'm so disappointed in the company that seeing it on my counter now just pisses me off.  He did say that he would relay my discontent to them when he called this this afternoon.  That might be interesting.

I think I either have lung cancer or an impending heart attack or poor posture.  There's a spot just to the right of the middle of my shoulders that is killing me.  It hurts when I breath, it hurts when I move.  It was really bad a couple of weeks ago but then it got better and finally went away.  Now it is back and it is now keeping me from sleeping well.  It's beginning to piss me off.
