I had the most fun dinner last night!  It was at a little place near Redmond called Pomegranate Bistro.  It is a foodie orgasm really.  The service, the people, the food, the atmosphere - it's all designed as a treat for those who just dig food and wine and like new, adventurous stuff. 

I'm not a big fan of champagne but the dinner was a celebration and they poured without asking.  Being a good guest, I took a sip.  Whoa!  This stuff was excellent!   I asked the waiter to write down the name for me and we chatted about it and he asked if I wanted to try another one he had in the same vein and I said sure and it was excellent, too!

Delicious. And the food was wonderful and we had such a great time.

Also yesterday on the eating front, I had lunch with my friend Georgia.  I do not know why she and I don't spend more time together.  I guess there is just no easy way to do it.  We are the same age with many of the same issues including being responsible for our mothers who are the same age.  Anyway, it was a great fun lunch and visit.

She asked me about the condo redesign. How I liked it and stuff and I started telling her about Part Deux II and realized that I am really about ready to get that kicked off.  I think Sheri will be getting an email this afternoon.

Mom just called and she is getting better and better.  She called to tell me she looked GREAT because she had just gotten her hair done.  She's threatening to get back to the computer soon.  We talked about her sitters.  I just don't want her to feel like she is a prisoner.  She said "I wish I didn't have to have them but I'm not ready to do without them."  And we agreed that was the best possible attitude.

And I loved all of the conversation about who puts what in the dishwasher from yesterday's entry.  I'll have you know that the topic is still going in the Yahoo Group. Today a guy noted that he would sure hate to eat at my house... little does he know that what's washed in my dishwasher is the least of his problems eating at my house but since he is never going to get an invite, he really doesn't need to worry about about it. It's quite clear that the thinking people are all here reading my LJ and there rest are over on the Roomba group!  (Oh and henare, turns out I do have one of those metal mesh filter things for my stove exhaust!  But, since I rarely turn it on, it's years away from needing any washing! But, interesting to note after 13 years of living here.  doh!)
