So I took the bus and got a snotty bus driver (my experience is that 75% of Seattle bus drivers are great and 24% are snotty and 1% are just downright mean) who said that he had no more stops before the freeway when he got near where I needed to go so I got off and trudged up a bigger hill than I like to climb but I made it. Way ahead of the person I was meeting.
We were meeting so she could give me some pointers I need for a job at work. It took all of 30 mins and I got all I needed. Since the coffee shop where we met is above downtown, I figured I'd stroll on down the hill to town and pick up a free bus home. I went through parts of town that I haven't been in for a long time. It was pleasantly cool and not raining and just a great night for walking.
When I got to the area where I could pick up a free bus, I figured I'd walk on some more - it was still downhill. I got to Pike Place Market and stopped into the cheese shop and picked up a creamy treat and then went to the bus stop. The next bus was a wait so I just walked and walked on home. It was great. Pleasant and interesting and nice. Plus I had the laptop in the backpack on wheels which is just the greatest invention ever.
Now I think I'll have some of that creamy cheese with some smoked New Zealand clams on cocktail rye toast. A fine fine dinner, if you ask me.
