So it appears that the work fire drill is over for now. I still have plenty to do but... I can see how it is going to get done. And it's all fine.

The CPA and the Broker kissed and made up. That CPA is really busting his ass to ensure I am a happy customer and I gotta say that after last year, it is a pleasant surprise. I am happy. And my broker always busts his ass to make me happy.

My email inbox is all clean and filed. I have inbox issues. I keep a clean inbox - personal and professional. My work inbox is in Outlook and and I make it get mail from a POP server for one account and an Exchange server for another so it is a busy little beaver just trying to figure out what the fuck I want.

This morning it went on strike. I had to manage both accounts from web browsers on my desktop. It was not that much fun in the midst of a firedrill. But, now everything is downloaded. The servers are cleared. The emails are filed and flagged appropriately and backed up. The world is once more in order.

And speaking of email... I've had my gmail account now for about 2 years. Up until the last few weeks, my Spam folder has caught ALL the spam but I've only gotten one or two every few weeks. Lately I've been getting 7 or 8 a day. The spam folder is still getting them all but it does leave me wondering who let the word out that I wanted to 'get hard for your woman'.

It looks like I'm going to get some TV time tonight. I could use some mindless TV and teddy bear knitting.

Oh and I got my insurance check for the contacts. AND I figured it out. And they were right. The check is for $150. The contacts where not $90 but $180. And I got a $40 rebate - that came in last week. So I still made a profit. Kind of sad, though when you send in your insurance and your rebate claims on the same day and the rebate check wins.

Now I'm going to feed cats, catch up on LJ, and think about what might be for dinner.

Oh the condo guys were by today to see if my walls were dry and check for mold. Walls dry and no mold. In 6 weeks they will patch my walls. It's a bother but not as bad as it could be and I'm ok about it.
