Saturday Doings

Chilly here - I'm loving it. I did the waterfront this morning from my walk and as I passed the aquarium, a car pulled up and parked that was loaded with ice/snow/sleet! I asked the woman who got out where she had been and she said Renton was covered with the stuff. Renton is about 30-40 minutes south of here (they have a Fry's, a Wallmart and now snow!).

It's cold and gray here now but not a flake in sight. Off my terrace, the highest hill I can see is the one that Amazon HQ occupies. If there's the first flake nearby it will be on the Amazon hill. Nothing yet.

My manager gave me a $50 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. I have a list of books that I want and I'm tracking them all for the best used price on Amazon and Half... So finding books to buy at Barnes and Noble is always tricky. (My manager at my last company was big on B and N, too.) But, I found three special ones that are just perfect (2 of them, I probably wouldn't have gotten otherwise, and the other one is brand new - it will be six months before I could find a decent used price) and the total came to $49.45!

There's a ladder truck from the fire department practicing turns and stuff in the parking lot. Whoever is driving seriously needs the practice. Driver's training? Wouldn't you hate to see a student driver sign on a firetruck??

Someone needs to clean up this joint... Could I see a show of hands, please?

We need snow! I had a friend in the Udist report that she got some, but we didnt see any here in Wallingford.
I've heard talk that there may be snow tonight though...
