As it turns out, the funeral home says they need the notarized signature of all three of Mom's children in order to cremate her. The lady says it's the state law. Even though Mom has written, notarized instructions specifically requesting cremation. Give me a break. But, Nancy and Bill want to get it done and dispense the ashes while they are still there and there are more important battles yet to fight.

So... The funeral home lady faxed me a 5 page document and I had to run around hells half acre to find a notary. Finally at the FIFTH bank, I stopped at, I found one. $5.00 and a lot of waiting around but the deed was done.

Then on to Office Depot (which is handy and easy) to get it faxed $2. But, while it was faxing, I bought some new pens. Seriously. I did and it made me feel better. So there. I bought 5 and when I got home, I dug in the basket and tossed out 5 old ones.

Then I got a call from my very favorite client who was so frustrated and had questions that she couldn't find answers to and I was able to answer her quickly and easily and she was so grateful and that was fun.

And now I need to clean up this desk. It is a mess.

But, oh, one more thing... Rick and Beverly in Orlando, since you don't get email notices if I reply to your comment, I'm replying here. You have no idea how delighted it makes me to know that to someone I am Jigsaw Puzzle Lady! That just tickles me to bits. And I totally know where Haw River is! I've actually been there! Thank you so much for your comment and for letting me know you are out there reading my journal and doing my puzzles... What a treat!

And now I'm going to feed the cats. Feed me. And then enjoy and evening of TV and Teddy Bear Knitting.
