You know my 3 time zones/3,000 miles/thankyoujesus?!  Well, I was kidding before - not really.  But today I mean it more than anything I've ever meant.  The family drama has already started and it's still only my sister there.  Yikes. 

On the up side, she's on email - instead of the phone.  She wants an obit (fine).  Am I sure I don't want anything (I'm sure).  What about Mom's St. Christopher medal (??!! I didn't even know she had one) or her wedding ring (no thanks)??  And shouldn't we put some of this stuff into storage so you can come see it and get some closure?  (nope)

And that's just about 1/10th of the questions so far and it's not yet 8 am here. 

• No, I don't think you should say there will be a private family service in the obit if there isn't going to be one but I really really really don't care what you say in the obit.
• No, I don't think a printed card mass mailed to everyone in her address book is a good idea.  Like I told you yesterday, send me the address book and I'll send notes to everyone (who's still alive) in it.
• No, I don't think it's a good idea to start handing out the stuff of Mom's you don't want to the staff.  'The home' has rules against that.  Call Polly and ask her what is appropriate.
• Thank for asking - here's a list of people at 'the home' that I'd really like you to go find and give them a hug from me and thank them for being special to Mom.
• And call Jon (the former bartender) and tell him and tell him how much Mom will hate that she missed his wedding this Summer (hehehehehehee)
• Yes, I will call our one and only cousin and tell him and I'm sure he won't bother you

On one level I am glad that she's handling some of this - less for me to do but I am not interested in bonding over this whole thing and the reality is that I really don't care about most of it...  I do need coffee - it's going to be a long day...
