The Perfect Example
Dec. 31st, 2003 12:18 pm2003: Well, having had my heart set on the deli's California rolls for lunch (and saving this one day to actually buy lunch since my current budget tightening has me bringing lunch from home these days), I get there and they said that today was 'too slow' to make them!!! Fuck. So I got their breaded chicken fillet and macaroni and cheese. A very very poor substitute. Who the hell puts dill in macaroni and cheese????
2004: I decided to splurge today and buy lunch at the deli - the aforementioned California rolls. But, as luck would have it, they decided not to do them today cause they knew it would be a slow day. So I got a chance to try one of their other Wednesday specials. It's a breaded chicken fillet thing with mac and cheese that always looked tempting. It wasn't terrible but at least now I won't be tempted any more!
See? I can do it. As Jamie Oliver would say... Easy Peasy!

Happy New Year.

Date: 2003-12-31 02:38 pm (UTC)It's actually what I consider to be "you" - granted, I understand that you may not like it now, but it seems to me to be patently Susan Dennis and to change means that you aren't being you anymore. I could be waaaaaay off base though, and I apologize if I am.
And Dill in Mac & Cheese? EWwwwwwwwwwwwww...the place where I work puts Dill in their Tuna, and I can't stand that. Dill has a very specific place in my mind, and it's Dill Pickles or pickling spice. :-)
Take care and have a wonderful New Year!
