Small Town

susandennisSeattle is sometimes the most amazing small, incestuous town. I've only lived here for 14 years. I am neither a mover or a shaker and my circle of acquaintances is exceedingly small by anyone's standards and yet I rarely get all 6 of my expected degrees of separation. Today's case:
My boss at the last startup I worked for announced that she was leaving and taking a job with a new start up. This morning's paper revealed that the Chairman of the Board of her new startup is the guy who eventually headed up IT at Microsoft but was my boss's boss when I was first hired. He was in my interview loop and I very nearly did not take the job after talking to him. He so rubbed me the wrong way. He got promted a different job shortly thereafter so I, thankfully, never had to really work with him much.
