Betty's on Patrol
Jul. 14th, 2002 12:58 pmI just caught Betty perched on the terrace wall - it's only a 5 story drop... YIKES!
[Note: photo lost in server crash of 9/6/02]
When I first moved in here, I had two cats (the current Jake being one of them) who used to hop up there and lean way way over so they could see the sidewalk below. I spent the first week frantically shooing them down. I finally figured out they weren't going to jump or fall. Pizza had no balance and she never even tried. I've seen Betty up there once before. The parking lot she's looking out over is for the new Seattle Seahawks stadium. She'll really have something to watch when they start using the stadium.
I have had seahawks perch on that railing. Wonder what she'll do when one of them comes by for a look-see?

Date: 2002-07-14 05:45 pm (UTC)The center of downtown is to the right. The buildings you see are our International District and those three buildings you see are all new. See the building in the back just to the right of one on the far right - up on the hill there? It used to be a veterans hospital. Now it is the headquarters of Amazon.
And, straight across the parking lot just to the left just out of the picture is the Amtrak station. It's a very cool neighborhood - the oldest part of Seattle (but brand new by your standards... it was only settled in the late 1800's and then burned down in the early 1900's. The building I live in was one of the first buildings rebuilt - a railroad warehouse...)
And that's the poop on my 'hood. Glad you asked? Oh wait, I don't think you did!
