Windbags in the 'hood
Aug. 15th, 2006 05:52 pmAbout 30 minutes ago I started hearing bag pipes outside. I did not immediately investigate. I kept hearing bag pipes and finally went to look and lo and behold there's a gaggle, or covey or litter or pod or whatever of bag pipers complete in plaid kilts standing and blowing in the middle of the parking lot. They've now been going for nearly 40 minutes.
Dress rehearsal? There are no games scheduled tonight in either stadium. Nothing else going on in the neighborhood that I know of. Even the new restaurant isn't supposed to not open until tomorrow.
No one should ever ever confuse me with someone who tolerates the noise of a bag pipe, must less a bag pipe band, but, even I gotta admit the serendipitious-ness of a Tuesday even bag pipe concert outside my terrace kind of tickles me.
Capturing them is nearly beyond my little Casio camera's capacity but there must be documentation.
